Pebble Vessel VI

Thrown on my traditional Leach kick wheel with local stoneware clay. Wavy lines have been carved into the clay then inlaid with black slip akin to the soothing patterns you’d find on a striped rock by the shoreline. I have burnished the surface for a refined, tactile feel. Inside, a calming turquoise glaze reminds you of the peaceful hues you’d find in a rockpool. 
Measures approx 11cm high x 11cm neck diameter. 16.5cm at its widest. 6.5cm base diameter. My maker’s mark is stamped on the base.
