Safe Harbour I

Altered wheel thrown vessel - working with images in my mind of textures, shapes and colours of St Ives harbour. Whilst I'm working on these, my grandad comes to mind who fished there all his life together with wonderful childhood memories of family gatherings on the beach. I use beach-combed items that I've found locally to emboss or carve into the clay including an old fisherman's knife, a broken wodden gig pin, handmade copper nails.
